Day 2 : Green Smoothie Challenge

Berry Banana Clense

 As I am sure you may have guessed, I wasnt too thrilled with yesterdays Pineapple Clense. However, after reviewing todays ingredients, I had high hopes for the Berry Banana Clense Smoothie! Thank goodness it did not disappoint! I’m not sure I could choke down drink, 29 more days of the frothy, chunky smoothies, like yesterdays…

Banana Blueberry Clense Smoothie Berry Banana Cleanse
1 rib of Celery
1 Frozen Banana
1/4 Cup frozen Berries (I used blueberries)
1 cup of Kale (any type)
1-2 cups of Coconut water, water or almond milk (or coconut milk)
1 tbsp. Chia Seeds *Optional (did not use)Instructions: Wash all your produce. Chop and put into blender with a small amount of liquid to start. Add more as needed until you reach your desired consistency.

I made my shake this morning using about 10 oz of Almond Breeze which is a Coconut/Almond Milk mix. I love that it gives is a light sweet coconut flavor. If you don’t like coconut, then stick with regular Alomond Milk. I prefer using a milk based product which makes my Green Smoothies (or any protein shake I make) creamier — which is yummier in my opinion!
