Day 8 : Green Smoothie Challenge

Cilantro Pear Detox  Smoothie

It’s a new work week for us and we even made it back to the gym this morning … feels so good to work out!  This smoothie was  perfect for our post work meal —  I think this one was my favorite of the bunch so far!  Strange since it has no berries in it …  Try it and let me know what you think!

Cilantro Pear Detox Green Smoothie

Cilantro Pear Detox Smoothie

1 Frozen Banana
½ Anjou Pear
1 Small handful of Cilantro
½ Rib of Celery
1 Cup Greens of your choice
1 tsp. Chia or Hemp seeds *optional
1-2 Cups of Coconut Water, Water or Almond Milk

Instructions: Wash all your produce. Chop and put into blender with a small amount of liquid to start. Add more as needed until you reach your desired consistency.

 

The original recipe called for just water or coconut water, but as with my previous smoothies, I used Coconut Almond Milk and it blended up AWESOME!  I added 1 cup of spinach for my greens and as with the other green smoothies I didn’t add any optional seeds.
