Day 20 : Green Smoothie Challenge

Sweet Leafy Green Smoothie

 Looks like the Coconut Green Smoothies just weren’t all I had hoped they would be… Today’s smoothie was more a banana smoothie with a hint of lime.  I only used banana and even added extra coconut in hopes that it would affect the flavor, but no luck.  I did notice that by freezing the coconut I did not have the chunks like I had encountered with the two previous green smoothies here and here  — so that was nice.

Banana Coconut Lime Green Smoothie

Sweet Leafy Green Smoothie

2 Frozen Ripe Banana (2 if you’re hungry or want it sweeter)
2 Handfuls of Red Leaf Lettuce or other greens
1 tbsp. Shredded Coconut
1 Cup of Water or Almond Milk
1 Lime, Peeled or Juices*optional
1 inch piece of ginger* optional

Instructions: Wash all your produce. Chop and put into blender with a small amount of liquid to start. Add more as needed until you reach your desired consistency.
