Day 25 : Green Smoothie Challenge

Kale Citrus Detox Green Smoothie

So I’m a day late on Day 25 … Life was a bit hectic yesterday and I just didn’t have the time to squeeze in my smoothie.  Ok, well — I didn’t miss out much.  Nothing special about this green smoothie in my opinion.  I did mix with Coconut Almond milk and used Spinach instead of Kale, but doubt that would make a difference.  Not bad … but not likely one I would make again.  On a more positive note … tomorrows green smoothie looks YUMMY!!!

Kale Citrus Detox Green Smoothie 

Kale Citrus Detox Green Smoothie

1 Frozen Banana
1 Small or Half of a Lemon (peeled)
1 Lime (peeled)
1 Medjool Date
1 Handful of Kale
1 Cup of Almond Milk or Water

Instructions: Wash all your produce. Chop and put into blender with a small amount of liquid to start. Add more as needed until you reach your desired consistency.

Day 24 : Green Smoothie Challenge

Apple Cinnamon Green Smoothie

Not bad … Definitely one of the better green smoothies!  I only used 1/2 of an apple which worked great with avoiding the “baby food” texture.  As with my other smoothies I stuck with Coconut Almond Milk and just used a dash of cinnamon.   Both my apple and banana were frozen so it was quite thick and I eneded up losing part of it on the sink when I went to pour into my glass :(.

1 Apple, Cored
1 Medjool Date, Pitted
2 Handfuls of Kale, Lettuce or Spinach
1 tsp. Cinnamon
1 Cup Water

Instructions: Wash all your produce. Chop and put into blender with a small amount of liquid to start. Add more as needed until you reach your desired consistency.

Day 22 : Green Smoothie Challenge

Kiwi Detox Green Smoothie

Hmmmm… Not fond of the Kiwi Detox Green Smoothie. I forgot to pick up dates this weekend,  so I substituted strawberries.  I was hoping it would taste like a strawberry, kiwi smoothie … but no such luck.  Not sure if it was the cucumber or the kale that through off the flavor, but it definitly isn’t a green smoothie I would make again on my own.  Did you give it a try? If so, what did you think?

2 Kiwis, Peeled or Skin left on
2 Medjool dates, pitted
1/2 Cup of Cucumber
2 Handfuls of Kale
1 Cup of Water
