As many of you know, I previously promoted the Body by Vi 90 Day Health Challenge. And while great numbers of people had success on their weight loss products, there were those that did not — and I didn’t quite understand “why?”. Then there were other potential customers who were hesitant to join because of the whey, soy or sucralose that are in the Vi Shakes, which for many are valid concerns. It doesn’t take long to find many articles on-line that speak of the dangers of sucralose; although for every one bad, there are others touting the benefits. I however, am just not willing to jeopardize my life, or that of friends and family, to promote a product that is not the best or safest product available on the market. Would you?
I love the 2 shakes a day meal plan, it works great for me and allows me to lose weight without giving up the foods I love. French fries and ice cream to name a couple! I want to be able to enjoy life (and eat the foods I love) but at the same time, I want to live life as long as possible — which means I need to let go of some of the bad — ok, a lot of the bad! But with so many chemicals and toxins all around us, and in everything we consume, where was I to start? The simplest place for me, was with my protein shakes.
After researching many different options I found Essante ORGANICS. All of their products are Organic, 100% Chemical Free, and Toxic Free. The Essante ORGANICS 7.365pH shake is created from a High-Quality Vegan Protein formulated and proven to accelerate weight loss, and has all of the nutrition our bodies need to create a healthy pH. I never realized pH (Potential Hydrogen) was important — to be honest, I really didn’t know what pH was! Isn’t that just for checking pool chlorine levels? Apparently, it is sooo much more! Did you know that if you have a healthy pH it is impossible for disease to live? I didn’t!
According to the Consumer Health Organization, we need Alkaline pH levels to live a healthy life and alkalizing is our bodies way to move from an acidic state toward a pH balanced one. Just like an aquarium without the proper pH balance is hazardous to the fish, improper pH is hazardous to the human body. The proper pH for humans is 7.365. Viruses, bacteria, disease and even fat cells tend to thrive in a more acidic environment. Essanté ORGANICS 7.365 pH Shake is perfectly alkalized and pH balanced so each time you enjoy a shake, you are helping your body become pH balanced. By balancing the pH level in your body, you create a foundation for optimal health and increased energy.
Are you ready to make the change to an All Natural, Organic, Wild Crafted, Soy Free, Whey Free, Dairy Free, Gluten Free, Protein Shake that contains No Chemicals or Additives? If so, click HERE to learn more about what makes Essante ORGANICS 7.365 so special!
Did you sign up to join me on the 30 Day Green Smoothie Challenge? If not, hurry up, today is the last day! I received my list of ingredients and off to the market I went. I was doing good until I saw cilantro on the list — mmmm, maybe if I was making salsa, but cilantro doesn’t seem like it should be a go to yummy smoothie making ingredient. Hopefully I’m wrong. But I buckled down and bought the ingredients anyway … except ginger, couldn’t find it (must confess, didnt look real hard either) — and not sure even if I had found it, I would have bought it!
So here’s the Raw Green Smoothie Shopping List I was provided:
1 Large Head of Celery
3 Field Cucumbers
1 Large Pineapple (or 3 bags of frozen Pineapple)
2 bags of frozen Blueberries or Mixed Berries
2 bunches of Bananas
1 bag or bunch of Spinach
1 large piece of Ginger Root
1 bunch of Parsley
1 bunch of Cilantro
1 head of Kale (any type, though green curly works best)
2 Large Lemons
Others: Chia or Hemp Seeds (or both)
Add ons: Coconut Water (make sure it’s Raw and Unpasteurized, Harmless Harvest is a great brand we trust) or Almond Milk (No dairy or Soy). Homemade nut milk is best, or choose an organic store bought nut or seed milk with the fewest ingredients possible.
I also purchased Unsweetened Almond Coconut Milk. Its only 45 calories and has a sweet coconut flavor. Even better, I had a $2.50 off coupon — SWEET! Sorry, but I just don’t see milk making being a new hobby of mine! I am committed to this change, but milk making seems a bit extreme…
Is it just me, or does this seem like a lot of ingredients for only 5 smoothies? I already have frozen berries from my garden last summer so I didnt need to purchase any this week. Cost was about $15 for fruits, veggies and milk (minus ginger root & berries). Works out to be about $3 a smoothie. I expect that this will make more than 5 smoothies, you think? Looks like my hubby will be joining me on this Challenge too. Hmmm, now just how do I break the news to him 😉 ?
Well, the Christmas decorations have come down and the house is getting a bit back to normal, if there is such a thing. Which means its time to start working on my New Years Resolutions. We all have them, and I am no different. They usually begin with something like; losing weight, getting fit or excersing more. In my case, it will be all 3!!!
I definitly over indulged this holiday season (ok, maybe a bit longer) and now is the time to fix my mistakes and get back on track. Need to look healthy and trim when swimsuit season rolls around and I get to visit my besties in California this summer!
My first step is to cut the crap and eat healthy — easier said than done, right?! I will be starting the Essante All Natural, Organic, and Chemical Free 7.65ph shakes next week and in the meantime will be doing a bit of clensing — Eeeks, never done that before… hope I can make it through!
The 30 Day Green Smoothie Challenge starts in a few days and I am both anxious and nervous … I CAN do this — Will YOU join me?!
